More frat boy humor naming, Dogfish Head Golden Shower Beer. They know their target. Ugh.
Reminds me of the time a friend said he wanted to make round (as in donut shaped) corndogs and sell them to drunk people at ball games. He wanted to call them “Round Hounds”. I immediately told him that “Dog Nuts” was a better play on donuts + hotdogs, and would have greater appeal to drunk people.
John Hessler never did launch that business, so “Dognuts”– that’s freebee number two, Samsung!

FYI, Dogfish Head is a craft beer brewery, making some of the finest beers in the world. This is about as far away from marketing to ‘frat boys’ as you can get; they wouldn’t touch this beer, if they even could afford it. This beer was originally named Perscription Pils, but they were forced to stop using that name becase some idiot thout it sounded too much like drug use. So, they adapted Golden Shower as a protest.

That was some protest. I was hoping it had nothing to do with the brewery being located at Rehoboth Beach, DE.
