My experience with Yellow Freight has been less than desirable, to say the least. We used to ship with Yellow pretty much exclusively, until I got sick of them not showing up and never calling to say they couldn't make it. The way our shipping and receiving area is set up requires a short truck w/ a liftgate, NOT a tractor trailer. Every time I'd place a pickup request with specific instructions to bring a truck w/ a lift gate, they'd send a tractor-trailer, and these poeple have been here numerous times and know the layout. I stopped using Yellow for about a year because of this, however, I thought today I'd give them another chance. When I called customer service to place the pickup request, the man called over to dispatch to make sure they had liftgate trucks available before he entered the request, and was told there were 6. Low and behold, a tractor trailer was sent instead. When the driver called dispatch, he was told they couldn't accomodate us today and would try tomorrow. The customer is already chomping at the bit over receiving his shipment, and is under the impression that it would definitely ship today. Thanks, Yellow. I see you still suck and undoubtedly always will. You could have made quite a bit of money from us if you had your shit together. I'll be making sure I tell all of my contacts not to use your service. And since Rick was so kind to list what companies are associated w/ Yellow, I will be stearing clear of them as well. Brag about your coverage area and transit times all you want. That stuff doesn't matter when you don't show up for scheduled pickup requests.

Are you people so pathetic, that all you got to do is whine about a truck line. I think you all are from Yellows competition. I know the guy with the car is a liar, because they have a no questions asked policy about claims uto $500. Anytime there is a claim by a accident it is automatically Yellows fault until proven differently. So get a life whiners!

Talk about brand....how about making up a game to find the arrow in the FED EX logo. My 13 year old has played it for years driving around town and has all of his friends knowing how it goes. Seems stupid, but just like the old slug bug game it can really embed a brand into a generation.
